📜 The Message Over the Messenger: Introducing "Any Vessel" 📜
Before hitting play on my latest track, "Any Vessel," I want to share a simple truth that has been reshaping how I look at the world. 👥🌪️
We have a massive habit of looking at the human messenger instead of evaluating the message. We either build people up into perfect heroes, or we completely dismiss what they have to say because we see their flaws. Both sides of that coin are a trap. 🛑🧐
In the book of Acts, the Bereans gave us the perfect blueprint to bypass this. When the Apostle Paul spoke, they didn't outsource their thinking to his status. They took his words straight to the Scriptures to verify them for themselves. They evaluated the message, not the man. 📖✨
⚖️ Truth Doesn't Care About the Vehicle
Whether you believe in a Creator or not, the principle is exactly the same:
Real truth stands on its own feet. It doesn't become "more true" because a famous person said it, and it absolutely cannot be discounted just because the person delivering it is flawed, unfavorable, or deeply imperfect. 🎯🛡️
Look at King David. He was used as a small boy to slay a giant, but look at the actual life he lived later on. He was no saint. He was deeply flawed, made massive mistakes, and lived a complicated, messy life. Yet, he was still chosen as a crucial vessel. 👑⚔️
You don't have to share the same faith to recognize this pattern in reality: the message carries the weight, not the pedigree of the person holding the microphone.
🏺 The Power of Getting Out of the Way
This song, "Any Vessel," is born directly out of that posture.
On our own, we are just ordinary, fragile containers like a shepherd boy, a water jar, or a piece of clay. The miracle isn't the container; it's the truth that gets poured into it. 🌊🏺
Whether you view it as spiritual surrender to the Creator, or simply dropping your ego to let a pure story be told, it requires humility. When we stop trying to be the source of our own spotlight and step out of the way, any voice and any heart no matter how broken can become a vehicle to make things new. ✨🕊️
This track is my personal "yes." 🙌🏽🎹
