NEW VIDEO: I always get asked "What can you see?" So I decided to make a short film about it, explaining my experience and how I see the world through my eyes as a legally blind person. youtu.be/m1baDf0lZsM

Accessibility and the rights of people with disabilities should never be a left or right issue, full stop. I will never align with an agenda that aims to strip those human rights away.

Seeing AI can now describe videos! Share short MP4 files, and hear descriptions of each scene. Early testers told us how it provided greater inclusion in group chats, reliving family memories, and understanding notifications from a doorbell camera. seeingai.com

For 10 years since starting my Blind Gamer series on YouTube, I've received comments similar to "you're not blind." and that I'm deceiving developers on what blind and disabled players need to play games. I have ignored those comments for the most part. But after more of those comments on yesterday's Black Ops 6 video I saw an opportunity to educate what I do and how I consult, so here's a video explaining it. Please forgive me for the long video (and the missing captions. I'm in a hotel room and wifi and resources are limited).

So many of these "Unsubscribe" barriers are also not only inaccessible for the general public but almost unusable for people with disabilities who have access needs. This rule needs to take effect and this lawsuit should be thrown out.
BREAKING: An industry group representing Comcast, Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery and other corporate interests is suing to block the FTC's new "click to cancel" rule that requires companies to make canceling a subscription just as easy as it was to sign up.

Oof. This isn't good. This is near-unreadable for me. Shame. Another game I won't be trying.
I was looking forward to it too, but that text size and contrast means @spacemarine is a big no for me sadly. I'm sure it looked fine on a huge monitor right in front of the UI designer's face. @sabersupport you have some legal implications from it too - igda-gasig.org/what-and-why/…

I've been thinking about doing a social media detox recently. I'm always scrolling on my phone and getting distracted when trying to do other things. I don't get much out of most social media either besides posting videos.

If you're curious about what it's like for me when I travel and what accessibility is like at an international airport, here's my POV from a recent trip. I should mention accessibility at airports is far from perfect. I've been lucky and haven't had a lot of issues personally. But for my friends and other folks, I've seen, there are a lot of issues that come up constantly. Airport attendants are often not fully trained in handling people with disabilities. Especially for folks with wheelchairs. They also think EVERY disability needs a wheelchair. Also, often, you can be ignored, forgotten, or mistreated. I hope airport accessibility is improved everywhere so you can get a consistent experience soon.

Global Accessibility Awareness Day #GAAD Accessible design, software, and tools allow me to navigate the world and do the things that I love doing. Accessibility should be one of the primary things designers think about, but too often, it is an afterthought or not considered.
