Unfortunate news from Wingatui, where racing has been abandoned for the day, after a horse slipped in Race 2.
The jockeys and stewards have inspected the track and the decision has been made.
The safety of horses and jockeys is always paramount.

Jockey Jasmine Fawcett is expected to leave hospital today after an incident at Trackwork at Matamata on Thursday morning. Doctors were keen to monitor her for a couple of days. When she’ll be able to return to the saddle is unknown at this stage
