Very sorry to hear this. A considered and considerate member of the bench, Judge McLoughlin had a real empathy for the people of #Cavan & #Monaghan, whom he served well. @HHumphreysFG @senjoeoreilly @ClrPeterMcVitty @davidmaxwell1 @sandramcintrye @RayMcAdam @TheBarofIreland

Very sad to hear about the sudden passing of Judge Denis McLoughlin. Assigned to Cavan and Monaghan for the last 6 years, he presided over heavy court lists and showed huge respect and patience towards everyone.

We fully support the urgent call of @IajUim and @IntlWomenJudges as lives of our Afghane colleagues are at high risk because of their gender and their dedication to build up a state governed by the rule of law
Urgent efforts must be taken to efficiently issue the necessary visas for judges, especially women. We call on all countries to act immediately. This is an absolute prerequisite to save lives.
