GCV Community Education Series #45 Why GCV Will Not Be Rejected by PCT I see some individuals — and even some pioneers — who are still against GCV, and anxiously expecting one day the Core Team reject GCV.😂 Honestly, that expectation is unrealistic. The reason is very simple: They do not understand how the Core Team works and how an ecosystem develops and Pi Network stages. If GCV were not confirmed by PCT, Pi Network could not move forward to the current stage. Let me explain with a simple example. Imagine you are a chef. If you want to cook a meat dish, you must first have meat in the kitchen. If the chef is already cooking and the meat is in the frying pan, it means the meat already exists and the preparation has already been done. Now imagine someone standing outside the kitchen saying: “When I open the pan cover, it will turn into vegetables.” They don't know chef is cooking meat but they dream it will be vegetables 😅 That makes no logical sense. In the same way, expecting GCV to suddenly fail while the ecosystem is already developing around it is equally unrealistic. For more than three years, the community has been developing, practicing, and expanding GCV usage within the ecosystem. During this period, the Core Team observed the community development, the ecosystem progress, and the formation of consensus among pioneers. Only when the ecosystem becomes sufficiently mature can the project move forward to the Open Mainnet stage. That is exactly what happened last year. Open Mainnet was not a random decision. It was a step taken after years of ecosystem building and observation based on GCV. So pioneers should understand this clearly: If the foundation GCV did not already exist, the ecosystem could not reach this stage. Those who truly understand Pi Network vision know that progress only happens when the foundation GCV is already in place. The Pi Network is moving forward because the community foundation GCV is already being built. And that foundation is GCV consensus and ecosystem development by pioneers. Doris Yin 🪷 🪷🪷 March 10th 2026
