Box Alarm: 100 Block of M Street SE - 12 story apartment building. Small mulch fire on patio of 2nd floor apartment extinguished. No extension to apartments. Cause of fire is accidental. No injuries and no displacements. Units in service shortly.

A small pup found itself in a scary situation when its paw became entrapped in an escalator at Farragut West Metro Station. Thanks to the quick response of DC Fire and EMS, the dog was safely rescued and reunited with its relieved owner.
