I am part of Deathpact and I was the masked person who appeared in a video circulating on the internet from the show in Phoenix last weekend.
I am incredibly sorry to her for what happened. In hurrying to meet and greet as many fans as possible, I wasn’t careful enough and clearly touched her in a way that I shouldn’t have – and did not intend to. I promise you, it was not intentional. My intention was to give her a friendly shoulder tap. I missed her shoulder. My wife, my family, and team were right there with me in that moment. As soon as I became aware of what happened, I apologized to her and her partner that same evening, in person. This is not in any way – and never has been – what we as a project or I as an individual stand for. I am sickened that I failed her, our community, my team, and my family.
Earlier this week while trying to address the situation as quickly as possible, we missed the mark in trying to explain what happened. My responsibility isn’t just about what I meant to do, it’s about the impact of my actions on others. Period.
Going forward, we are changing how we engage with our community to ensure that personal space is respected so that something like this never happens again.
We have taken the necessary steps to make sure this is a safe space for everyone - again, I apologize and I look forward to seeing our fans this weekend.
