I have spent the weekend/Monday in Brussels at the "Foreign Information Manipulation-Interference research methods workshop" talking about our latest research on detecting pro-Kremlin disinformation. Really cool to see the latest research on this topic!
Our final session features research at the frontiers of computational and big data studies on influence operations; from LLM optimization for misinfo detection to using Telegram data to predict missile strikes in Ukraine.
Our FIMI Research Methods Workshop begins with a policy keynote by @masflov - where he presents a historical genealogy of the concept of the "Western information space", and why a meaningful defense of this information space requires a global approach
