Purnia, Bihar: To prepare civilians for war-like situations, a blackout was observed today from 7:00 PM to 7:15 PM. Following the instructions, residents switched off all lights in their homes, while vehicles on the roads halted and kept their lights off for 15 minutes.

आज कलेक्ट्रेट सभागार में नागरिक सुरक्षा वार्डनों एवं स्वयंसेवकों को प्रशस्ति पत्र वितरित किए गए। ऑपरेशन ब्लैकआउट एक्सरसाइज (23 जनवरी 2026) में उत्कृष्ट कार्य करने वाले 97 वार्डन एवं स्वयंसेवकों को जिलाधिकारी ने सम्मानित किया। नागरिक सुरक्षा को आपदा एवं विभिन्न आयोजनों में प्रशासन का महत्वपूर्ण सहयोगी बताते हुए इसके विस्तार हेतु नगर निकायों व ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में इकाइयाँ गठित करने के निर्देश दिए। सभी सम्मानित व्यक्तियों को बधाई देते हुए भविष्य में भी सक्रिय योगदान की अपेक्षा व्यक्त की गई। साथ ही डिप्टी कंट्रोलर नागरिक सुरक्षा ने बताया कि वर्षभर में 319 नए वार्डन जोड़े गए तथा 73 प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रमों के माध्यम से 6963 लोगों को प्रशिक्षित किया गया।
