We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Dover Town Council for their generous £500 funding to support our school garden. The funding has enabled us to purchase gardening tools, vegetable plants and compost, helping us to develop the space into a learning environment.

In KS3 Science club this week, students dissected Barn Owl pellets and identified that it had a diet of field voles and small birds.

Today we welcomed Understanding Animal Research to present to Year 9 and 10 students, as well as complete a workshop with our 6th Form Biology students. This was part of our celebrations for British Science Week, with the theme of Curiosity heavily featured throughout the talks.

Last Thursday, Science club used cyanotype paper, and acetate to create images by blocking out UV rays from the sun. The boys worked hard on their original images on acetate, these were then left to develop using sunlight and these are some of the end results.

1/2 On Thursday 22nd January, some of our fabulous A Level Biology students got the opportunity to visit the Museum of Life Sciences, Kings College, London. They took part in a workshop where they discovered the fascinating science behind the evolution of teeth.
