What a night, had call from the mum who am trying to help at present with 3 children at 1am her daughter had been reported missing, as few hours previous a gang of boys and girls where seen on cctv calling her a tramp, a scruff, might aswell kill yourself your poor, thank god she's been found. I feel so sorry for this family and very sad for the children having vile comments like this being said to them, thankfully police are dealing with at present. Today, I delivered Christmas toys to a family with five children. The mother was incredibly grateful and gave me a tearful hug, expressing that without this help, her children wouldn't have had any gifts to open on Christmas morning. She confided that she had been going through a tough time since her husband left and she has been struggling to make ends meet with her benefits only covers two of her five children, as this is how benefits work. After paying for bills and debts, she had only 10 credits left in her electric and gas box meters. The family had no carpets, minimal decorations, and no Christmas lights. I asked how they would manage over the holidays, and she replied, "We have enough noodles and pasta, hopefully, to get through." It was heart-wrenching to see them suffering like this, especially during Christmas when kids should be filled with joy and excitement. As the schools close this week, the situation will become even more difficult for them. I cannot stop thinking about them, and I implore anyone who can help to pitch in. Let's all come together to make sure this family has a warm and well-fed Christmas. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated at this time. HELP NEEDED ❤️ A very long day trying to make sure all 1065 children, have a present to open on christmas day, but we have hit a massive gap of ages 10 to 14 totalling 166 altogether that we cannot provide a gift to, this is holding back many collections as most families have a child of this age group within their family.
