The Online Common Entrance Examination for JCOs , OR & Agniveers was conducted successfully pan India wef 01 Jun to 12 Jun 2026, with all examinations completed as planned. The examination was conducted for 18 entries and was offered in 11 regional languages other than English & Hindi, enabling candidates from diverse linguistic backgrounds to appear for the test with ease. The examination witnessed participation of 18,26,821 candidates, generating upto 23,12,870 registrations across various entries. Accordingly, examination was conducted for 20,04,279 registered applications at centres across the country. To facilitate the conduct of the examination, 405 examination centres were established across 205 cities nationwide. Comprehensive security arrangements and robust monitoring mechanisms ensured the smooth and efficient conduct of the examination process. DG Recruiting visited the Examination Centre and the Central Control Centre at Noida to review the conduct of the examination and oversee the arrangements. The successful completion of the examination reflects the meticulous planning and coordinated efforts of all agencies involved.

NCC Outreach ARO Varanasi @ HQ Rtg Zone (UP & Uttarakhand) conducted an insightful and motivational outreach for the NCC Cadets of 96 UP Bn NCC, Jaunpur, on career opportunities in the Indian Army and the recruitment process. The session highlighted the values of discipline, leadership, integrity, and selfless service that form the cornerstone of military life. The cadets were briefed on various entry avenues into the Indian Army, including the Agniveer recruitment process, eligibility criteria, Common Entrance Examination (CEE), physical fitness tests, medical examination, and merit-based selection procedures. Emphasis was laid on the importance of physical fitness, academic excellence, and proper documentation for aspiring candidates. The interactive session generated keen interest among the cadets, who actively participated and sought guidance on pursuing a career in the Armed Forces. Lt Gen RS Sundaram, SM, VSM, Director General of Recruiting, interacted with Lt Gen Sandeep Singh, AVSM, Commandant, Officers Training Academy (OTA), Gaya, to deliberate on the quality and aspirations of candidates being inducted into the Armed Forces, particularly in the context of the evolving expectations and characteristics of the Gen-Z generation. The discussions focused on strengthening the recruitment and induction framework to ensure the continued selection and development of high-calibre officer cadets. During the visit, the General Officer also held an interactive session with Officer Cadets to gain firsthand insights into their experiences across the recruitment and induction continuum, encompassing the application process, Services Selection Board (SSB) assessment, and reporting at the Pre-Commission Training Academy. The interaction provided valuable feedback on challenges encountered at various stages and enabled constructive deliberations on measures to further streamline recruitment and induction procedures. This initiative reflects the Directorate's commitment to enhancing transparency, efficiency, and candidate-centricity, thereby ensuring a seamless, enriching, and motivating experience for future officer entrants.

Lt Gen R. S. Sundaram, SM, VSM, Director General of Recruiting, interacted with Maj Gen Ravinder Singh, Additional Director General, NCC Bihar & Jharkhand, during his visit to Danapur. He also reviewed the arrangements and operational preparedness at the Online Common Entrance Examination (CEE) Centre, assessing the measures instituted to ensure the transparent, efficient, and seamless conduct of the recruitment process. The General Officer further engaged with Brig R. K. Bora, Commandant, Bihar Regimental Centre, and Agniveers to obtain firsthand feedback on the recruitment system and gain deeper insights into their aspirations, motivations, and challenges. The interaction provided a valuable platform for understanding the expectations of the youth, evaluating the effectiveness of current recruitment initiatives, and identifying opportunities for further strengthening and refining the recruitment framework.
