NEWS: Big Ten officials are expected to discuss in the upcoming days a league-wide mandate to not play Texas Tech in any sports, per three Big Ten sources. This is in the wake of Nebraska AD Troy Dannen informing his staff today that they aren't allowed to schedule Texas Tech.

That’s exactly what the ruling today means. If the NCAA can’t win the appeal or severely punish Texas Tech for this, players gambling is not only allowed now, but they’re probably going to intentionally use it.

The judge's decision on Brendan Sorsby is indicative of where we are.
We've confused compassion & empathy with excusing behavior. This is what happens when the person who broke the rules is increasingly viewed as the primary victim.
Accountability is now cruelty.

A Lubbock, Texas judge has ruled quarterback Brendan Sorsby eligible to play college football for Texas Tech despite having gambled on the sport.

This ruling calls for suspicion of the integrity for fair competition in every college football game moving forward. Sorsby should never be allowed to play an NCAA game again for betting on his own team. Major CFB gets more broken and bends to money every passing day.

The NCAA is almost certain to appeal the decision.
For now, the injunction prevents the NCAA from prohibiting Sorsby "from practicing, playing or otherwise participating on Texas Tech's football team for the 2026 football season."

The number one and number two seeds, UCLA and Georgia Tech, both lost in the regionals at home. College baseball still has upsets, college basketball no longer does, May Madness has replaced March Madness. (I know today is technically June 1, dorks).
