It's been a big week of beach cleaning for the SCCU crew on Fidra island. We have removed an estimated 150 creels & huge bundles of rope that washed up during winter storms last year. Thanks to @RSPBScotland & @SeabirdCentre for their support and to all our amazing volunteers!

Something lovely for the weekend!
Beautiful blue glass beads from the late Bronze Age.
Ploughed up by a farmer in Denmark in 1885, analysis shows the beads were made in Mesopotamia, evidence of long-distance trade in luxury goods some 3,000 years ago.
