I'm old, but I made my way up to check out the #Nats tarps off section and by the end of it, my tarp was nowhere to be found and I was chanting MVP for James Wood... @Nationals

Today is going to be wild. Heading to tailgate before going to the UFL Championship to watch the @UFLDefenders. Feeding the beer snake then watching 50 cent performance at halftime. Then walking over to JMU Night at the Nats game. i’m pretty sure there’s gonna be tarps off at both games because it’s supposed to be really hot. If I’m starting at 11am, how am I gonna make it for the end of the second game? I guess you’ll have to follow along in this thread to find out.

Yesterday I went to a brewery. While I was enjoying a beverage in the outdoor section, a group of like eight kids came out to play cornhole. They basically were just throwing the beanbags on top of the roof of the brewery on purpose and pretending it was by accident. There was also a private party there that was like a teenager graduation party or birthday party or something with all kids. Like why would they choose to have their party at a brewery? Anyways, this was 3 PM on a weekday so I can’t imagine what it’s like on a weekend. I know I’ve been hit with soccer balls and frisbees and stuff at breweries, and there have been kids at breweries for many years, but are we at the peak level where a brewery is basically a place that kids go to hang out?

You know I’m normally eating tacos and hamburgers, but I decided to finally go down to a Washington top 100 restaurant. The people behind cava opened up this restaurant in Rockville which apparently is now called North Bethesda. This is MELINA.

This Mountain Lodge Restaurant is one of the coolest looking restaurants in the DMV. And no, it’s not up a mountain, it’s actually a Clyde’s in Rockville, Maryland. If you’ve never been to Old Ebbitt Grill, or Ashburn Clyde’s at Willow Creek, or this spot Rockville Clyde’s Tower Oak Lodge, I highly recommend all three. Each one of them has a really amazing aesthetic. My favorite time to go to any of these places is during oyster happy hour so that’s what I did!

Anyone remember Armand’s Pizza. It was Chicago style deep dish pizza that started in DC 50 years ago. At one point there were a bunch of them all over the DMV, but for the last few years, the final one remained in Rockville, Maryland. Well, unfortunately, Armand’s it’s about to be gone for good, as the final location will be closing in a week. Now, if you watch this channel, you know, I prefer Tavern style pizza if I’m in Chicago, and I do not eat deep dish pizza unless I’m inside Chicago 😜 (Shoutout Peaquods). So I had never been here before, but I felt like a lot of people might have some memories of this so I wanted to show them one last pizza. PS: Giordano’s, which is from Chicago just opened up a location in DC so maybe I’ll have to check that one out too lol.

Every summer, the cool little town of Occoquan in Prince William County host an arts and crafts fair also known as Riverfest. I checked it out this year for the first time in many years and man has it gotten big.

Another Must Visit Park and Giant Lake in the middle of Fairfax County. It’s Burke Lake and I’ve been coming here my whole life. From riding the children’s train as a kid, to playing frisbee golf as a teenager, to fishing, boating, and jogging as an adult. This place has always been a great spot. This is the park I go to when I wanna practice using my cameras, we’ve gone night fishing here overnight which is fun, we played mini golf and got ice cream at the ice cream parlor here. You can even go camping ! There’s also a par three and a driving range. Awesome spot!

Hard to believe this is Northern Virginia basically the border of Woodbridge and Fairfax County. This is one of those cool parks in Northern Virginia that’s a little bit out-of-the-way so people don’t really know about it. But it’s a really cool spot to hang out.

All the neighborhoods in DC have to have cool NY nicknames like AdMo or NoMa so I’ve come up one for H Street. SeNe! (Say Nay)

One of small-town Virginia’s most popular ice cream places, Moo-Thru, has been expanding, and the second Northern Virginia location just opened in Burke, VA. The fun part about the original location is It’s a big barn with a drive-through ice cream shop. So this location is not as fun, but it still has the same really good ice cream, and it’s not an hour away.

I absolutely cannot stand going to the movies because of the other people in the audience acting like they’re in their bedroom, watching a movie with the coughing and sneezing and nose picking and hands in their pants and talking and cell phones. so after going to the movies on a weekly basis when I was younger, I pretty much just stopped going to the movies altogether. The few times I go to the movies when I’m afraid a movie is going to be spoiled on social media, like I did the other night for backrooms, I sit in the second row slightly to the left. And it drives the person at the ticket counter crazy they keep saying “sir that’s the front of the theater” and I’m like yeah I know that that’s where I wanna sit lol.
I JUST GOT MY TICKET FOR THE ODYSSEY OH MY GOD IM SHAKING

Ruthie’s All Day, an arlington favorite, is now in Fairfax. it’s been here for a little bit now, but I went back a second time for their burger and wings. But the thing I really like here are the bar and cocktails. A little shake up from all the bourbon drinks I normally drink. Is this the place for brunch? I don’t really do brunch, but everybody always ask me what’s a good spot for brunch, and this seemed to be that based on a look at the restaurant and the menus I saw.
