APPALLING—Is @the_ACNA's Title IV Reform meant to protect laity....or BISHOPS? Bp Ashey, the architect of reform, suggests that under new Title IV—charges against Archbishop Wood would've been QUASHED. Ashey fidgets while anticipating whether he may someday face a complaint.
EXCLUSIVE—Bp Phil Ashey comments on ongoing proceedings against Archbishop Wood: "Terminated" complainants felt "aggrieved". Bishops joined the complaint & inhibited Wood to "catch up" with fallout from @WashingtonPost. Wood will likely be exonerated, predicts Ashey. @the_ACNA

ACNA News: The agenda is out for the Provincial Assembly, to be "held as a Zoom gathering" on Jun 25. A request to fix the number of PCCC members was DECLINED. The Archbishop will have "flexibility … to increase and decrease the size of the committee … as he deems necessary."
In this piece I talk about 2 pending changes that, in all the Title IV fuss, may have snuck up on ACNA people: 1. Provincial Assembly will consider ratifying a canon that threatens Provincial Council's legislative power; 2. Council will consider a rule to ban floor amendments.

The people need to know.
Anglican Church in North America coverup. Opting for a private trial of their now former Archbishop is not a good sign. Transparency is key, especially in Church safeguarding matters.

Breaking: Bp Chip Edgar of South Carolina has reservations about the ACNA's PCCC amendment. Commentators have suggested it may strip the PC of its legislative authority. Egdar, who slow-walked Wood's complainants for months, also expresses his full support for Title IV Reform.

More ACNA news, on the coming trial of Abp Steve Wood: the Court for the Trial of a Bishop has granted Wood's motion for a non-public trial, denied his motion to dismiss, and denied a motion to allow the College of Bishops to observe the trial. 🧵

In the ACNA, closed-door proceedings are often cited to justify further actions. The difficulty is that we, the public, aren't shown how the sausage is made. Could Archbishop Wood cite an exoneration—expected, per Bp Ashey—as pretext for legal action against his complainants?
Replying to @DOMA_Misconduct
Who are you, sir? Enough hiding in anonymity. The answer, of course, is "it depends." Was the complaint found to be legitimate? In the case you appear to be referring to - no, it wasn't.

Here's the interesting thing in this. Archbishop Wood has requested his trial be closed off. Yet his "canonical advisor", who receives "weekly phone calls" from Wood, is publicizing Wood's side of events. So, will the "closed trial" be private just for one party? @The_ACNA

One of the things I am considering touching upon is how the ACNA's compromise is a mockery to all the martyrs who died for their beliefs. Women refused to marry pagans and were killed for it, yet our bishops (claiming to continue the catholic faith) would rather compromise.
Been on my mind lately to write an article called "No One Can Serve Two Masters - The Error of the ACNA." Please pray for wisdom as I begin writing it.

Four things the ACNA needs to do rn: 1. Abolish the ordination of women. 2. Enforce ONE BCP with ONE rite. 3. Enforce the Formularies dogmatically. 4. Abolish non-denominational-esque worship.

The ACNA's Provincial Council will consider 2 resolutions submitted by its Diocese of South Carolina related to the trial of Bp Stewart Ruch. 🧵 The first - "Calling upon the Court for the Trial of a Bishop to release a full transcript of all of its actions in the Ruch matter":

It was shared to me by the Great Priest who proposed this motion that it passed with only two votes in opposition! God bless the Reformed Episcopal Church
Today, in Richmond, VA, the 58th General Council of the Reformed Episcopal Church adopted a motion/resolution commending the @SouthernBapCon for maintaining its stance against female pastors.

I ask this with absolutely zero snark and with general curiosity: is it possible or has it been done for the REC to adopt a resolution calling her brothers in the broader ACNA to repent of the ordination of women?
