The @DRDO_India has successfully demonstrated multiple crucial technologies bolstering nations defence capabilities against different types of enemy threats. Three consecutive flight-tests were successfully conducted to demonstrate multi-layered defence against long range Ballistic Missiles and Anti-ship capability at medium range. Multi-layered BMD capability was successfully demonstrated. The interceptors successfully engaged their respective targets. The systems are designed and developed with latest technologies to address the emerging missile threats. These tests have put India in elite group of nations having Ballistics Missile Defence Capabilities to engage Ballistic Missiles up to ICBMs. Anti-ship defence at medium range was demonstrated during the maiden flight test of Naval Anti-Ship Missile-Medium Range. Congratulations to DRDO on successfully demonstrating these crucial technologies.

A ceremony for the declaration of Final Operational Clearance (FOC) of Netra Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) System is planned on 25 June 2026 at Centre for Airborne Systems (CABS), DRDO, Bengaluru. An Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today between Defence Materials and Stores Research & Development Establishment (DMSRDE), DRDO and National Institute of Ocean Technology ( NIOT), Ministry of Earth Sciences, Chennai to promote academic and research collaboration in the area of high pressure polymeric membrane technologies for the purpose of desalination of sea water. The MoU was exchanged between Dr Kingsuk Mukhopadhyay, Director DMSRDE and Prof Balaji Ramakrishnan, Director NIOT Chennai in presence of Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh, Defence Secretary, Secretary DDR&D and Chairman DRDO During the ceremony DG(NS&M), DG(MSS), DG(PC&SI), DG(HR), DG(R&M), Director DMRL and other senior officer from both the organisation were present.

RudraM-II, Air-to-Surface Missile was successfully tested by #DRDO and @IAF_MCC from Airborne Platform. The tests were conducted under extreme release conditions with critical trajectory establishing the capability of all subsystems.

On 26 May 2026, the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence (SCoD) visited the Electronics and Radar Development Establishment (LRDE), Bengaluru, as part of its study tour. The exhibition was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chairman of SCoD, Shri Radha Mohan Singh, during which live demonstrations of various technologies and systems were presented. The Hon’ble Chairman and the members of the Committee expressed keen interest in LRDE’s activities and projects. LRDE showcased its advanced technologies and products and provided the Committee with detailed briefings on its ongoing projects and initiatives

DRDO’s Defence Technology and Test Centre (DTTC), Lucknow conducted the second MSME conclave at Amausi Campus on May 23, 2026 with a theme of “Capacity building of MSMEs for development of UP Defence Industrial corridor”. The event was inaugurated by Dr RV Hara Prasad, DG (N&SM) in presence of Shri Abhishek Saraff, Chairman, CII (UP State) , Dr Kingsuk Mukhupadhayay, Director DMSRDE and Dr Ashish Dubey, Project Director, DTTC Over 100 participants from various MSMEs & Startups participated in the events. A dedicated session for startups emphasizing their support required from DRDO was arranged. During the event 10 nos. of critical manufacturing technologies developed by DMSRDE were officially handed over to industry partners to kickstart local production. This event was followed by an interactive panel discussion addressing challenges as being faced by MSMEs to undertake defence R&D related activities. DG (NS&M) addressed the queries raised by MSMEs. MSMEs were advised to address the areas of collaboration to empower future scenario on defence technologies to achieve self-reliance and Vikshit Bharat goal as whole nation approach.

A delegation led by Mr Patrick Pailloux, Delegate General for Armaments, DGA France, visited DRDO HQ on 20th May and held discussions with Dr Samir V Kamat, Secretary DDR&D and Chairman DRDO. The discussions focussed on strengthening the collaboration between India and France in advanced defence technologies.

Development trials of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Launched Precision Guided Missile-V3 in Air-to-Ground & Air-to-Air modes was successfully completed at DRDO test range near Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.

12th Technologies council meeting between MHA and DRDO was organised at DRDO HQ on 18 May 2026 under chairmanship of Dr Chandrika Kaushik, DS &DG (PC&SI) to review Advanced Technological systems being developed by DRDO for CAPFs, Police Agencies and NDRF followed by acquisition of the systems. The meeting was attended by members IG/equivalent officers of CAPFs, Delhi Police, BPR&D, DCPW and NDRF while JS(PM), MHA attended as special invitee. During the meeting DRDO handed over "Gender Sensitization Training Resource for CAPFs & Armed Forces", a module developed by DIPR, DRDO under project "Women Soldiers Integration in Forces", to all the members.
