My thought experiment about the complexity of how we read, decode new words, comprehend them & make meaning in the wider context of the sentences they’re in, (& of other reading).
I've been thinking again about what kind of knowledge helps in reading, in all its complexity (not just decoding), testing it out for myself with a few little experiments (below). I'd love to hear thoughts on this from those more expert than me in these matters! 2/
