I haven't posted for a while but this is worthy of a post, tonight saw the retirement of a fine on call officer. 46 years of providing on call cover at Colyton Fire station, amazing commitment from both him and his family, Sir I salute you 🫡

Local fire crews are attending an exercise at Rennes House flats in Exeter, it might look realistic but please be assured it is just an important training event!
At 5pm yesterday we were called to an incident on Exmouth beach, where a man had become trapped in the sand with an incoming tide.
Fire crews worked alongside @HMCoastguard , @RNLI Lifeguards, @swasFT , and members of the public to successfully rescue the person.

We are sad to report a fire at Dunsford nature reserve yesterday. Thanks to @DSFireUpdates who were at the scene quickly and the public who reported the smoke. This reserve is home to rare species, including pearl-bordered fritillary butterflies. buff.ly/427kFFe
