You can see the power of the wind that destroyed this business sign on Oberlin Road in Lorain.

A tree fell onto the roof of this house. A 28 year old woman that is 9 months pregnant was sleeping underneath this roof collapse. The home owner credited the Lorain Fire Department with the quick response that prevented any injuries. Workers are cutting the tree from the house.

Ohio Edison crews are hard at work trying to repair power poles and restore power to the masses. It looks like a daunting task right now.

Parts of Lorain are now m complete darkness due to the overnight storm. This is Ways street. I think that’s what the street sign said.

The storm did severe damage to the City of Lorain overnight. This is Oberlin Road in Lorain. It’s closed in both directions. The damage looks like straight line winds came through here.

Driving through Lorain County on I-90E near Avon. Lite rain, road spray, and a nice light show. We are expecting the same weather pattern as yesterday. Hopefully the storms aren’t as severe. @JeffTanchak19 has your First Alert Weather Forecast right now on @cleveland19news .

I’m live at Cleveland Missing Headquarters. Amanda Dean’s Law increases the penalty for abusing a corpse, named for a Huron County mother of four whose body was never found. The bill passed the Ohio House and heads to the Senate. @Vic_Gideon has the story.

Lite rain is falling in Downtown Cleveland. Outside air temperature is 74 degrees. It’s a muggy start to our day, with a heat advisory thrown in for good measure. @JeffTanchak19 is in at 4:30am to guide you through the morning.

An OSHP Chase ends with a car into a tree and 1 in custody at E93rd and Pierpont in Cleveland. The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in the court of law. No injuries were reported.

Here is a daytime look at the water main break on Mayfield Road. The water is still flowing freely. No word on when the Water Department can get this break under control.

It appears only one restaurant “ Corbo’s Cafe and Bakery” is being threatened by the water main break in Little Italy. I tried to make contact with them but alas it’s still early.

To deal with the traffic issues Case Western Reserve Police are extending the road closure to Colman Road to E24th Street.

WATER MAIN BREAK: Mayfield Road between Murray Hill and E124. This is right in the middle of Little Italy. The water department is on scene but traffic delays are expected.

A large and confusing scene on Superior/E110th/Parkwood/ Hathaway. 2 car MVA with 3 minor injuries including a toddler. A male found stabbed in a parking lot across the street. Transported. Shell casings found a block away on Hathaway. Not sure if these are all connected.
