To strengthen regional MSME competitiveness, the DTI – Design Center of the Philippines, in partnership with the DTI MIMAROPA and DTI Oriental Mindoro, conducted factory visits & product development consultations with 5 MSMEs in the province of Oriental Mindoro.
The Design Center team also spent a day at the Provincial Agriculturist's Office of Oriental Mindoro to observe the freeze-drying equipment and techniques that the Maluanluan Agriculture Cooperative is using.
Among the MSME recipients were: Pinky's Pasalubong Center (Ube Halaya); Kasagpi Producers Cooperative; Maluanluan Agriculture Cooperative; Carl's Ceramic Pots Manufacturing; Dao Waterlily Association; Louise Banana Crackers; and Golden Twiss Beverage Manufacturing.

The Right to Care Card, the country's first document legally authorizing LGBTQIA partners to make medical decisions for each other, won the Gold Award at the 2024 edition of the Good Design Award Philippines.
Since then, it has spread from Quezon City to Mandaluyong, Parañaque, Iloilo, San Juan, Cavite, and the Province of Cebu — fueling legislative action through one Senate Bill and nine versions of the Right to Care Bill in Congress.

The Design Center proudly participated in the “Enhancing Women MSME Export Readiness under Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Trade Mechanisms” organized by the DTI – Export Marketing Bureau (DTI-EMB) and in collaboration with the Regional Trade for Dev't (RT4D).
Ms. Stephanie Padilla, Supervising Industrial Design Specialist of the Design Center’s Design Services Division, also presented the agency’s initiatives & highlighted services & programs that MSMEs may access to support product dev't, design innovation, & market competitiveness.
