Ok, time to make Twitter (X) great again. Can we go back to the good old days of #MedTwitter and #NurseTwitter when it was about sharing real learning, honest stories, clinical pearls, and a bit of humour from the chaos of practice, not ego, noise, or performative outrage.

Responded to my first @GoodSamApp call the other day for @SCAS999 - it wasn’t an arrest and patient was ok, but made me reflect on how amazing this App is. If you can join up, you really should.

As critics have been arguing all along, individualised, medicalised and decontextualised models & narratives are not only net ineffective, but even contribute to and exacerbate social & psychological issues and distress. We dont face a crisis of 'mental disorders' in need of medical or cognitive treatment, we face a socio-psychological crisis and a crisis of medicalisation in need of a societal rethink.
