Secondly, by developing a theory of militia behaviour based on their interactions with other groups (i.e., insurgents and states), we contribute to existing scholarship on explaining militia behaviour.
Finally, by providing new information on loyalist paramilitary strategy in relation to infiltration activities this article challenges the dominant conceptualisation of collusion in Northern Ireland as a British ātop-downā delegation to Loyalist groups.

Thrilled to share that Iāve officially graduated today with a PhD in Politics from Queenās University Belfast! A huge thank you to everyone who supported me along the way and those who participated in my research project. Its been an incredible journey.
