Advice to a young artist: "Work all for study, and none for either exhibition or commendation. As long as you fear criticism you will hedge while making experiments. So don't work for anything but your own progress." —Louis Agassiz Fuertes (Hard to do in age of social media.)

Jim Shooter’s run on Avengers is a high water mark for me. He had Perez, Byrne, Sal Buscema, David Wenzel on art during its 5 year high. I’ve been working on an Avengers Robtopsy of this period. It’s the GOLD standard. The artistic collaborators helped tremendously, possibly inspiring the high level of stories & storytelling.

Just a reminder that the chief AI scientist at Meta not only thinks authors should provide their works for free, but he and Meta will just pirate them anyway and claim fair use. This isn't an obvious agenda at all... techspot.com/news/101507-met…

Only a small number of book authors make significant money from book sales. This seems to suggest that most books should be freely available for download. The lost revenue for authors would be small, and the benefits to society large by comparison.

THANK YOU. This is what I love to see 🔥
Sam Register, President of Warner Bros. Animation, is against using AI. "I just think it’s important we protect the artists and the art form as long as we can. [With storyboarding], we should give jobs to people who really do that so they can get their entry-level experience."
