Grant Yun is exploding. His ascent is feeling unstoppable. I wanted to write a short thread on why I decided to buy ‘Space in the Mid Century,’ in January, which set the record ATH price for his work at the time (10.3 eth). A thread 🧵

Most people still think NFTs are about pictures. They're actually about memory. Every important culture creates artifacts: Books, paintings, baseball cards, concert posters, historical documents, etc... The internet created global culture at a scale never seen before, but its artifacts couldn't be owned. NFTs changed everything. For the first time, internet culture can leave behind permanent, scarce, verifiable artifacts. And over time, the artifacts of internet culture will become the most valuable of all, because the internet is where humanity overwhelmingly lives, creates, and remembers. Not everything deserves to be collected. But the things that matter most do. The bet isn't that every NFT succeeds. The bet is digital culture becomes increasingly significant, and the artifacts people care about most live onchain. What fascinates me is how small the market still is. The internet already dominates culture, yet many of the most important onchain artifacts (aka JPEGs) can still be collected by ordinary people. This opportunity will not exist forever.

Same for me - too good to pass up. Nice job @heft_gallery @adamberninger and of course @_deafbeef 👌
I wish I could have been there but 100 bucks for a limited edition (/75) Deafbeef vinyl is too good for me to pass up.

Seeing Beeple packs trading at $400 might be the signal we were all waiting for 🚀 And honestly, I couldn’t be happier holding some of his NFTs. The digital art market is starting to feel alive again.

You do not get an ETH-led bull market without first killing belief in it. That is what is happening now.

This might be the best ETH post I’ve ever read. Most people still analyze Ethereum like a casino trying to maximize extraction. But the largest economic networks in history won because people wanted to build, save, trade, and coordinate inside them. Ethereum is playing the long game. Play long term games with long term people. ETH is the ticker ✨
"Ethereum is a Giver, not a Taker" is a brilliant thought. I just think it leads to the opposite conclusion. Crypto has become so used to extraction - high fees, high margins, rent-seeking, "value capture", number go up - that when something gives more than it takes we instinctively read it as weakness. But maybe that’s exactly what makes Ethereum special. Look at tokenized art as a tiny fractal of the Ethereum economy. Ethereum gives artists and collectors the whole stack: issuance, provenance, settlement, custody, identity, global liquidity, composability etc. And it charges almost nothing for it. It already beats the IRL art market on almost every primitive: cost, speed, provenance, settlement, reach, custody and collector experience. So what happens? Artists price in ETH. Collectors think in ETH. Cultural value gets denominated in ETH. Communities form around ETH-native objects. Art alone won’t reprice ETH. Of course not. But art is a fractal. The same thing can happen across creators, DeFi, social, gaming, AI agents, stablecoins, RWAs and whatever else gets built here. Ethereum gives first. Value comes back later. Value comes back slowly - through people pricing things in ETH, using it as collateral, staking it, building on it and treating it as the base asset of the ecosystem. The best monetary networks aren’t the ones that tax everything the hardest. They’re the ones everything chooses to coordinate around because they give without extracting too much - and over time that compounds into trust, culture and value. "Giver, not Taker" isn’t the bear case for ETH. It is the reason Ethereum keeps becoming the place value returns to. That is the longest game in crypto - and as a collector, the game I’m most interested in.

People still analyze Ethereum like the winner will simply be: - the fastest chain - the cheapest chain - or the chain most aggressively shilled by CT influencers But the largest economic networks will be built on trust, neutrality, security, and developer ecosystems. ETH is where the internet economy already settles when the value actually matters. Stablecoins. RWAs. DeFi collateral. Rollups. NFTs. Onchain coordination. As AI scales and the world becomes more digital, the amount of value needing neutral settlement explodes. The most trusted economic network wins. And ETH becomes the reserve asset of that economy. That is the ETH bull case.

Had a very meaningful time today with @justinaversano going through the studio and reflecting on experiences from our time in this space together and where we see the future going. Having been one of his first collectors of Twin Flames back in the day I have gotten to see him from day 1 and how he has evolved not only as an artist but also as a person. Those experiences throughout the years are what help shape us to be better people, find our voices, and true passions. That being said it was a very eye opening day and though we may be different in some ways you realize the similar struggles we all go through. Truly enjoyed our time together today having tea, doing a tarot card reading and discussing art as doing some trades. I’m glad to call him a friend and appreciate our time together today. If your in NYC and have the time to visit his studio I highly recommend it 🫶

My bets are $ADAM, $ONE, and $TTT
Fun launch happening now over at @token_works. I placed a very small bet on $ADAM, which you can buy here: tenthousandtokens.net/browse… The meme is @rhynotic, the founder we all know and love. Would be fun to rally behind this one.

PunkStrategy sold another punk. It has now sold 8 punks and still holds 39. More interestingly: 4 of the 5 cheapest punks are owned by PunkStrategy. ethereum:0xc50673edb3a7b94e8cad8a7d4e0cd68864e33edf is up 20% today.

Okay, this is huge. 4 out of the 5 Punks on the Floor are owned by Punkstrategy. If those get swept, that’s nearly 130 ETH of buy pressure coming in. $PNKSTR is still massively undervalued ✍🏻 The token works. @token_works

This is my thinking
I think $PNKSTR is severely undervalued right now. Most people still see it mainly as a proxy for the Punks vault but Adam has consistently integrated PNKSTR buybacks into every new project. At this point, it’s basically becoming the ecosystem token for the entire TokenWorks universe. Probably worth taking a bet on it before more people start to realize that, especially before the 0.1% fee on every TTT trade kicks in.

5 out of the 10 cheapest punks are PunkStrategy punks. The next punk buy is at 60% (13 ETH left). We're gonna see the flywheel in action soon.
