ALT this is a terrifying time to be jewish and in north london. people are getting stabbed in the street for being visibly jewish. synagogues are being arson attacked. i live in a very jewish area and sadly it feels like only a matter of time… and i have to say, it’s upsetting and unsettling to see so many people i know who are engaged in anti-israel politics (and quite rightly!) ignore this growing threat to jews on our front doorstep. we should be embracing a politics that makes all people feel, and be, safe. when you are constantly israel-posting but don’t seem to have any outrage about all the antisemitic attacks here, it tells me you only care about jews as oppressors and not as neighbours, friends, and people deserving of safety. thinking of our heartbroken community and sending love to everyone feeling fearful atm ❤️‍🩹
