It felt like the last stage of Mei coming of age was having her understand her mom on a deeper level. She isn't a monster, or a goddess but human but all of the fears and flaws that comes with that. #TurningRedWatchParty

Panda Ming went through some last minute rewrites and redesigns to make her look and act more like Ming rather than a monster...felt better for the story. #TurningRedWatchParty

We tried to find giant red pandas as reference for Ming, but somehow we couldn't find any. So we had to calculate how fast 50ft furs move through space and put that into Ming. Simmed by Ricardo Nadu and Robert Kosai. #TurningRedWatchParty

Panda Ming required a LOT of boards, lots of big choreography. The heavy lifting in the boards was done by Xavier Riffault and Bill Presing with some help from Dean Kelly and yours truly. #TurningRedWatchParty
