Andrew Wakefield was stripped of his medical licence for fraud
28 Sep 2025
Dr. Andrew Wakefield presents a stark challenge to the very foundation of modern vaccinology. He forces a critical question: Why are we deliberately injecting a known neurotoxin—aluminum adjuvant—into our population, starting in infancy? The function of many vaccines is dependent on this adjuvant to provoke a strong immune response. Yet, its recognized neurotoxic properties make its inclusion a monumental gamble with public health. The current childhood vaccine schedule is likened to injecting a horse with a vat of vaccines—a visceral and alarming visual of the overwhelming burden placed on developing immune systems. There is, however, a beacon of hope. A committed, multi-million dollar research initiative is being launched to definitively uncover the causes of the autism epidemic and put an end to it. This is an essential, non-negotiable step forward. But as Wakefield rightly insists, our moral duty does not end there. We must never forget the thousands of children and adults already injured. While stopping the epidemic is paramount, we have a profound obligation to those who have already paid the ultimate price. A comprehensive plan for their care, support, and significant compensation must be addressed. The pursuit of a safer future cannot abandon the casualties of the past.
