I don't care if sentiment around crypto is at its lowest. I care that DeFi is creating opportunities that simply don't exist anywhere else. Over the last two years at Rysk, we've built new primitives for onchain options that would have been impossible in traditional finance. We launched the first accessible options products on HYPE because we saw an opportunity and believed in the ecosystem. We didn't need permission from anyone. We saw an opportunity, built it, and launched it when users wanted it. Using the same infrastructure, we launched institutional volatility vaults that benefit from onchain transparency, onchain settlement, and the removal of counterparty risk. That's what still excites me about DeFi. The technology enables financial experimentation at a pace traditional finance simply can't match. But more importantly, we need to double down on what made DeFi worth building in the first place: accessibility, transparency, and open financial infrastructure that anyone can build on. That's why I believe this is the best time to build in DeFi.

Friday was Rysk's biggest settlement day and biggest inflow day to date. The best part wasn't the metric itself, but how smoothly the inflow was handled. Over the last few months we've faced challenges as demand grew, sometimes resulting in a poor user experience. The team spent a lot of time redesigning parts of the system, fixing bottlenecks, and introducing ROSF, a mechanism that reinvests protocol fees directly into RFQ liquidity to improve execution. Still a lot to improve. But Rysk V12 is maturing.
