In the wake of the recent newspaper reports, I’ve decided to step away from series two of Britain’s Best Home Cook. I loved my experience of working on the show and wish it every continued success.
Brown brown brown. There’s little colour here which makes for a dull Instagram pic, but who gives a damn. Creamed roast Cornish Red chicken soup with pearl barley & chives. Bags of flavour. The perfect cure for this weather.
Open & roasting @theroyaloak_w1 🤙🏼 45 day-aged beef, roasties, celeriac purée, braised red cabbage, heritage carrots, yorkie & gravy. Sunday’s are just the best 👌🏼
Chefs/restaurants - if anyone’s got any cod, hake or pollock (3-4kg net) we can have I’d appreciate it and return Tuesday when markets are open. Let me know and we’ll pick up! (There’s pints in it for you 🍻)
Bugger dieting, January is depressing enough as it is. It’s all about comfort food to me. On special @theroyaloak_w1 creamy chicken & pork belly stew with a buttery suet dumpling 🤠
I wanted to do Veganurary not to jump on a bandwagon but to use it as a way to create better vegan dishes at work. But then this morning I was hungover and the ONLY cure is bacon so failed instantly. What do vegans do when hungover? I make bacon naans with a ton of @sriracha_fg
The old mans still got it 💥 (first welly I’ve made in 10 years) New Year’s Eve at home with the Backshell’s @katemaryrock @tgb_backshell eating and drinking way too much. Here’s to 2019 🥂
Smoked salmon with rye, pickles & horseradish cream. Pubs open all day today then closed tomorrow and Boxing Day. Thanks to everyone who’s celebrated Christmas with us in our first year 🎅 Merry Christmas and see you from 27th!
