The R-line free fare pilot was an immense success for @RIPTA_RI, spearheaded by @MeghanEKallman and @LeonelaFelix. 40% increased ridership, easier boarding increased efficiency, savings for low income riders and lower emissions. We hope a fully funded RIPTA can do more fare-free.

When they were listed as threatened in the 1980s, there were just 10 pairs of breeding piping plovers left in Rhode Island.
This year, there are 111 — the first time they've made it back in the triple digits.
