I've said this before - but for the 900th time, you cannot look at humans in a vacuum, and how they treat people in a position of less power such as service workers or juniors is *deeply* indicative of how trustworthy and ethical they will be long-term in business.
On the topic of professional community relationships.

This comes back to trust. If you act sincere when you first meet somebody, but then later behave like you have never met them, that raises other questions. There insane easy fix though: /15
When somebody comes up to you at a con, and indicates that they have met you before “Hi Tom, good to see you again” - say “Hey, it’s been a while, forgive me, I’m terrible with names, what’s yours again?” /end
