Watching the Nexus One product announcement was so influential for me Google's product people just seemed so freaking cool 1.12Ghz overclock Doesn't seem much by today's standards with Qualcomm's new chips BUT! That was 12% over stock. Big margin.

Really, really can't wait for @KamalaHarris Superstar to be!

Best thing to ever happen to me is this girl right here

Biggest problem on one of the first (and best) small tablets the Nexus 7 was its slow storage speeds The Nvidia chip was amazing. Just had slow flash storage. Second Gen Snapdragon really made it a Star

What bothers me about "cyber security companies" is that they're ultimately a monitoring tool at a specific layer of a software stack. That's about it. Essentially, you're creating a band aid for a bug to be solved elsewhere in the stack. finance.yahoo.com/news/colla…

With that logic it's got to be human friction that these companies aren't made redundant right away Business deal means buying off that software's "bug" so they can profit off the "solution/feature" Valuing a company like this should only be worth the cost of fixing the "bug"

Veering into the "elite" ruling things Because our economy needs GDP growth above all else... Financial institutions incentivize and encourage companies like this to grow and embed further into supply chains as it grows biz All to the determinate of true security improvement

Eh, they'll stay pretty even for the next year before Intel rebounds in CPU's Where it'll get interesting regarding AI is their next gen GPU's The key context to look at is the PS5 Pro's GPU being based on RDNA 4 (vs 3.5 commercially) Then you have to look at software to see why this is a big deal. Sony's answer to Nvidia's AI upscaling tech for gaming will more than likely be the rumored FSR 4.0 just rebranded as PS. The current 3.0 version doesn't use AI due to RDNA 3.5 and below not having the hardware acceleration to support it. So it's strategic to release the PS5 Pro even knowing that it will be relatively small sales. However, the training data coming from it will go towards making FSR 4.0 viable and thereby any AI programming across AMD's tech stack improved. Sony may even have a deal with AMD where they get compensation for helping improve their tech. Good investment for AMD as the learning will only help fine tune the hardware acceleration drivers that'll be across both their next gen commercial GPU's but also enterprise chips. Thereby increasing the value of their chips vs Nvidia. AMD may then be able to better chip away at Nvidia for more market share. We'll have to see! seekingalpha.com/article/472…

So cool. eGPU's are awesome! With Windows 11 ARM ISO's coming out soon... Progress! If/when eGPU's get ARM support.. Oh man will that create some awesome potential for handheld gaming Switch-like battery life for mobile and PS5 Pro fidelity docked 🥳 github.com/osy/XG_Mobile_Sta…

Why aren't more people getting into ANY type of tech anymore? Apple, Sonos and others have matured tech for ease of use to the point people don't need to peel back layers to understand nuances. It just works. Even dev tools have been simplified. headphonesty.com/2024/09/aud…

This is why cyber security talent is lagging too All the bits and pieces are no longer exposed to end users for people to even be curious about It's certainly a win for user experiences but it's dumbed down what people are exposed to for the next generation of nerds

Sure, maximizing bit rate for efficiency is great and all and saves streaming companies bottom line But what I wish is that they'd all have a "Pro" tier for near lossless AV. Give me TrueHD Atmos and 100mbps Video techradar.com/televisions/in…

Geeks would pay for it and artists would love their uncompromised art to be experienced as intended Since Blu-rays and physical media are on the out... Meet the demand The only reason I'd torrent 4k movies was for the audio

Plus even 4k Blu-rays had to compromise on attributes like HDR and IMAX Enhanced Add those on top of a lossless video stream and pure bliss Add a bigger buffer and cache to the streaming client to make up for slower down link than lossless data rate C'mon, just do it!

Although nice and a welcome upgrade... My dream integration with it would be having an A/V processor with dual HDMI outputs Makes the last gen still viable and keeps latency even lower on primary output theverge.com/2024/9/5/242363…

My biggest desire: Pure XLR outputs and no built in amp The high end offerings don't have all the bells and whistles these cheaper AV's have besides XLR Question: with the sub channels, are the rear signals tying into the surrounds? Or split fronts? techradar.com/televisions/ho…

What if we went back to the time NASA was the sole "company" having missions on behalf of all USA? Any company could produce IP and manufacturing (and be compensated of course) but it aids the collective effort. Seems like so much rework between Co's benzinga.com/news/24/08/4054…

I'm really bummed about The Acolyte. I thought it was fantastic and great world building. I really don't get the hate especially when it comes to casting and the director. Something is different? GOOD. It's unique and fun. screenrant.com/star-wars-tru…
