Mark Hyman spreads misinfo, blames patients for illness, & promotes distrust of evidence-based medicine. Sad that Cleveland Clinic has helped to legitimize this behavior, the lasting effects of which are likely all the more harmful during a pandemic. @CaulfieldTim @DBelardoMD

After a week of Republicans sowing fear and chaos, the first reports of raids in Chicago are at an elementary school. Targeting children and separating families is cruel and un-American. chalkbeat.org/chicago/2025/0…

Jeffries: Diversity, equity and inclusion are American values. Perhaps I can explain. The motto of the United States of America is e pluribus unum. Out of many, one. That’s diversity. The 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution—one of the most influential important amendments in our country—provides equal protection under the law. That’s equity. In this country, we pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. A flag that we just presented to the new President and Vice President. And in that pledge, we promise, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. A-L-L. That’s inclusion. Not complicated. Diversity, equity and inclusion are American values. It’s about economic opportunity. It’s about merit for everyone, based on what you know, not who you know.

Americans needs to know the details about the people Trump pardoned. DJ Rodriguez posted "There will be blood. Welcome to the revolution". He beat officers with a wooden pole, tasered an officer in the neck causing a heart attack. He's out of jail this week.

He just defunded fixing your roads and bridges and other transportation projects. Meaning more potholes. More bridges and tunnels falling apart and failing. Longer commutes. Uglier airports. More flight delays. More traffic. Coming your way, thanks to Donald Trump.
On Day 1, Trump stopped all funding for the Infrastructure law. A bill that Democrats AND Republicans passed together to fix our roads, improve public transportation, and remove lead from our water. What happened to building a safer, stronger America?

“Nazi” isn’t a slur. It’s a word that describes real people who earnestly believe in their ideas. Their ideas are disgusting and hateful, but of course they often do not realize it. I keep running into racists who think that it’s not white supremacist to think that white people are inherently superior to other races. No…that’s the whole definition!! The fact that they believe it earnestly and don’t think it’s an idiotic, hateful belief doesn’t mean it’s not an idiotic, hateful belief. Nazi isn’t a word that means “bad evil boogeyman” it means “someone who believes in their own racial superiority, extreme protectionist nativism, the purifying of society by eliminating undesirables, expansionism, active suppression of dissent, and total state power held in the hands of a very small group.” Make sure the people you’re cheering for don’t believe these things because otherwise…

Thank you, Lina. The first FTC Chair in decades to actually take on the monopolies and the corporations that control our lives. Her replacement - handpicked by President Trump - promises to put corporations first and stop giving them such a hard time when they screw consumers.

No one should be denied access to economic opportunity because of a medical emergency. Our Administration has made it so medical debt can no longer be included in credit scores, which will give millions of Americans the opportunity to buy a home, grow their business, and thrive.

1. Today the Federal Circuit rejected Teva's bid to list device patents for inhalers in the Orange Book. Practically this means that drug makers can't list patents for things like inhaler caps to block generic rivals from the market & keep prices high. A big win for Americans.

FTC Chair Lina Khan shows Lesley Stahl an asthma inhaler that costs dollars in Europe but hundreds in the U.S. She says drugmakers register patents on inhaler parts like the cap-strap to keep low-cost generics off the market. cbsn.ws/3zuONT2

And just like that, Republican Unelected Co-President Elon Musk has killed the bill to keep the government from shutting down on Friday. All he had to do was make a few social media posts. Trump said he’d empower working people, all he’s done is empower the ultra wealthy.

We now know that hydroxychloroquine likely increases the risk of death from COVID-19. Good that this awful, unethical, and incredibly harmful paper has finally been retracted. Terrible that it took four years and many dead people to happen.
It has taken more than 4 years but the methodologically poor (doi.org/10.1016/j.therap.202…) and questionable paper (1-day peer review bmcmedresmethodol.biomedcent…) that promoted HCQ for COVID-19 is finally retracted. We've been saying for years it had to be (doi.org/10.1016/j.therap.202…).

It's unconscionable that Dr. Hotez - while battling the worlds deadliest diseases - has to simultaneously fend off antisemites and anti-vaxxers.
As I write in my articles finding a partial overlap between antiscience and antisemitism (attached), we’re entering a new phase of targeting Jewish scientists, especially Jewish vaccine scientists…
