I started my teacher training in 2017. Last month, there was only me and one other person who I did my PGCE with that was still teaching.
Now, I am the only person who was on my course that is still a teacher today.
The speed teachers leave the profession is immense.

Last year's teacher pay deal was published on the 22nd May.
This year the Secretary of State (correctly) asked the STRB to bring forward their recommendations so that schools would be better able to plan ahead and "fully reset the timeline in 2026-27".

A special thanks to control for their oversight.
Firefighters worked hard overnight and have now fully extinguished this fire in #Bermondsey.
At its height, the fire involved a large amount of refuse and the roof of a warehouse. A van and a car were destroyed by the fire.
One man was treated on scene.
