Today I signed a 2 year contract with the Chicago
@whitesox as a player/coach. The past 7 months have been the most challenging time of my life physically, mentally, emotionally, financially, & spiritually. There were days I thought my playing career was over. There were days I wasn’t sure how I was going to pay my mortgage. I drove Uber, gave private pitching lessons, & worked the front desk at a baseball facility in Colorado just to make ends meet. No medical insurance. No physical therapist. I wrote my own return-to-throw program. I’m a firm believer that if you truly want something bad enough, you will do whatever it takes to make your dream become a reality. I never give myself credit for the things I’ve accomplished in my baseball career. I’ve always felt like I’ve fell short of my personal expectations. But this achievement is something I can hang my hat on. This achievement is something I can be proud of. I never gave up. I never gave in. I’m back in the game.
