Imagine the progress we could make if 1) Greece put its magnetometer near Athens (Station PEG) online in real time and 2) mainstream seismologists in the region would obtain the psychological counseling they need to begin watching the precursors. @Kandilli_info @USGS

A magnitude 4.6 earthquake just struck off the coast of Stromboli Volcano, just ~12 hours after a major explosion occurred there shooting lava bombs all over. At ~220 km down, this is the latest of a string of deep earthquakes to strike Italy and its massive volcanic system...

👀 The 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Mindanao caused parts of the seabed to rise by as much as 2 metres and the coastline has reportedly moved out by around 200 metres. The sudden uplift has exposed coral reefs, seagrass and marine habitats, leaving sea life stranded and causing damage to the underwater ecosystem. Officials found exposed coral and dead marine animals along affected areas.
