Yesterday, my dad set up Zelle with his bank, and added me as a contact. Early this morning, he got an email confirmation from the bank that he was approved and set up to send and receive money via Zelle.
And make sure the messages aren't harsh or contradictory. (The rep said something that the email confirmation and onscreen error didn't. The email made him think he was able to send money, but he wasn't.)
It's the first of the month and folks' bills are due. Everyone can't wait 3 days because of your misinformation.
