My mental hasn’t been great. And that’s not because of videos, actually. Sometimes my life can have turbulence. But what I do when I need to get picked up is I rely on my friends. They helped me through it once before, and they’ll probably help me through it again. I loved making new creator friends and just playing with them. Stream or no stream… Though I’d never be the one streaming. I’d do it all the time, not for content, but because I enjoyed their company. The Vtubing community, as well as many others too, have been so wonderful, welcoming, accepting, and friendly to me. It means the world. As I go through something now, as I try to navigate this, shoulder more burdens than I ought to, and go through more than I ought to, I think about that. My job description, for the last 6 years, has been editing by myself for 10 hours a day. And when bad times come, it’s a hard thing to face and to work on every single day. Especially when the bad times can last weeks. After this video, I’d like to stream if I can. I’d like to start making it more regular. I’d like to be more attached to the communities who have reached out and befriended me, not out of a desire to gain, but out of a mutual respect. I have felt at home with all of my creator, as well as my non-creator friends when I thought I had no one to turn to. I think it can just be once a week or something. I still have a deep passion for making videos. But, when it comes to prioritizing myself… I want to reach out to others and let them know I’m available. It’s funny to portray me as the editing goblin who is shackled in the basement and can’t play or collab… until it isn’t. Normally, I can handle those circumstances. But when things get hard… isolation will never be my friend. I can’t wait to see all of you at Twitchcon. It means the world to me. You’ll never know how much it means to me to put faces to the work that I do, and the hard work my friends do as well. It’s something I want more of. So, I think after this video, it’s something that I will try.
