FoRSS member Noel Henry just managed to get this shot of Flying Scotsman as it sped through Reddish South today sandwiched between 2 HST power cars on its way from @ELRPSociety to Doncaster.

It should have been pulled through Reddish South this afternoon but for some reason got stuck in Stockport for over 2 hrs, so I missed it
A few more from 'Flying Scotsman's' brief visit to Leicester Station earlier today. Better photo opps than I thought there would be! 'You never go unless you go' @RailwayMuseum @visit_leicester @BBCLeicester @RailwayMagazine #flyingscotsman

Took our budding thespian Jake to a wonderful tour of The Palace Theatre Manchester today. Absolutely fascinating and made so very interesting by our Guide Carol. Did not know that the stage was so vast behind the safety curtain.

The FoRSS Committee met the new Denton and Gorton Green Party MP Hannah Spencer to discuss our ongoing campaign to get proper passenger sevices along the line from Stockport to Manchester Victoria. It was a great meeting and MP Hannah listened and gave us her full support .

One thing that doesn't get talked about enough is how @AndyBurnhamGM made bus travel free for 16-18 year olds with OurPass - it made such a massive difference to my family financially and gave me the freedom to explore our city region for the first time. It was also one of the main reasons I became interested in politics and after realising how much impact the Mayor could have through devolution in Greater Manchester.

Sometimes the light after the sunset is better than the sunset itself. Zooming in you can see 2 brighter red lights, these are on chimneys at Manchester Royal Infirmary

After leaving OPEC With its Fujairah pipeline bypassing the Strait of Hormuz, UAE can now ramp up freely potentially adding around 2 million extra barrels a day and helping break the high-price grip.. Game changer for markets😎
Community note
The UAE's Habshan-Fujairah pipeline, which bypasses the Strait of Hormuz, has a capacity of 1.5 million bpd (expandable to 1.8 million bpd) and is operating near full capacity, so it cannot support an additional 2 million bpd. gem.wiki/Habshan–Fujair… en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Habshan–F… forbes.com/sites/guneyyil…

This limestone train was snapped by FoRSS member Noel Henry as it came through Reddish South on it's way to the stone terminal in Salford today. Class 66 66771. Why weren't a few of the trains affected by the Piccadilly problems today diverted this way to Manchester Victoria
