Constable Marc Pinizzotto, a member of the elite Toronto Police Emergency Task Force, was killed in the line of duty while serving and protecting others.

At approximately 10:30 pm on August 20th 2024 a member of the Sarnia Police Service was stabbed while responding to a person in crisis call.
The officer, a 13-year veteran of the SPS received multiple stab wounds and was transported to hospital by EMS. He is expected to recover from his injuries.
Ryan WHITEWAY (36) of Sarnia has been charged with attempted murder and has been held for a bail hearing. ^jc
