A year ago I graduated from my PhD. It took me five years to complete & I wrote many parts of my thesis whilst in hospital. Disabled academics like myself often work on crip time. This doesn't make our contributions any less. And academia is a better place for us being in it.

Great to see that this important study by @asathomas and @RachelAldred of @Active_ATA is out and getting good coverage!
NEW, on low-traffic neighbourhoods: biggest-yet UK study (of 46 London LTNs) indicates they notably reduce motor vehicles within the zone without seemingly increasingly traffic on boundary roads. The latter has been a major objection by LTN critics. theguardian.com/uk-news/2023…

Our analysis looked at how collisions involving different road users were reported, so that we could identify distinct discourses around drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians. Per previous research, we found that drivers were often less visible in reporting, 2/7
