Congrats to @Lauren_D_Gorman one of the most brilliant and dedicated lawyers I know. She poured her heart and soul into proving that one of USA’s most prosecuted laws is irredeemably racist & revealed the utter absurdity of arguing the opposite in the process

Get this: The crux of the hearing was whether the origin of the law was racist and whether the law was essentially racist as applied. Spoiler alert, it was and it is. But did you know that the prosecutor in the case tried to argue that w*tb*ck wasn't a slur? Check this out
