We mark our territory with our words. When you speak God’s promises, you are establishing ownership. It’s good to believe the promises. It’s important to get them down in your spirit, meditate on them, but the Scripture says, “The Spirit of faith is in our words.” Words give life to what you’re believing. God has given us incredible promises. But here’s where we can miss it. Silence leaves the territory unclaimed. Silence is not neutral; silence is surrender. You have to pronounce the promise before you possess it. When you speak what God says, that gives life to your faith.

Are there some situations today that you need to leave alone? You’re striving, trying to force it, living stressed, but nothing’s changing. Why don’t you come back to a place of peace. God hasn’t brought you this far to leave you.

The enemy would love to get us distracted fighting battles that don’t matter. You don’t have time to waste responding to people who are never going to be for you. Don’t spend your valuable time dealing with a weed. Ignore the weeds.

There are things that don’t make sense, that aren't fair. The good news is that’s not how your story ends. The enemy doesn’t have the final say. He may sow some weeds, but that does not stop your harvest.

Just because God gives you a dream, gives you a promise, doesn’t mean you can sit back and be passive. You have to go and possess it. You have to take steps of faith. That’s when you’re going to see God step in and do things that you couldn’t do.

God will put you in situations where you’re up against a giant. It looks impossible. It’s easy to let fear, intimidation, and doubt talk us out of it. But you were created to perform awe-inspiring deeds. That giant is a setup. It’s a mighty exploit waiting to happen.

There are two voices vying for your attention: the voice of doubt and the voice of faith. You get to choose which voice becomes a reality. The voice you dwell on, the thoughts you believe, that’s going to determine who you are.

Isaiah said, “Arise and shine for the glory of the Lord is upon you.” The glory of God is on you right now. But if you’re going to see it, you have to arise. You won’t shine like you should if you play it safe all the time.

God has an assignment for you at every age. You are not too old. This world needs what you have. We need your wisdom. We need your talent, your experience, your love.

If you'll start thanking God that He’s working, thanking Him that He’s bigger than what you’re facing, thanking Him that He’s calming the storms, then you’re going to see situations suddenly turn around. Suddenly, you'll get well. Suddenly, your child gets back on course. Suddenly, the problem resolves.

Psalm 107 says, God satisfies the thirsty soul with good things. If you’re going to see good things—healing, breakthroughs, favor—you have to stay thirsty. God didn’t put a dream in your heart that He can’t bring to pass. There’s not a problem you’re in that He can’t bring you out of. The question is: are you thirsty?

"God said in the book of Joel, “I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh.” Not just the young, the old, the middle-aged. The boomers, but not the millennials, not Gen Z. No, God’s Spirit is poured out on every age. He went on to say, “Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions.” God was showing us how both the young and the old are important. We will accomplish more together than we will apart.

Paul said it this way, “Outwardly this house that I live in may be perishing, but inwardly I’m being renewed day by day.” He was saying, “Things may be aging on the outside, but inwardly I’m refreshed, I’m renewed.” Your attitude determines your age more than your birthday.

You never age out with God; you age into your purpose. Abraham became a father at 100 years old. John wrote the book of Revelation in his nineties. Noah built the ark when he was over 500 years old. Your assignment didn’t go away at seventy. Your value didn’t decrease at eighty. If anything, it increased. You have wisdom. You have experience. You’ve developed talent. You’ve gone through highs and lows. You’ve seen the faithfulness of God. Age hasn’t lessened you; it’s prepared you.

Sometimes there’s no logical solution. God is going to supernaturally turn it around. If we take matters into our own hands, we’re going to be frustrated. Don’t try to change things that only God can change.

If you’re worrying, if you’re praying from a place of doubt, defeat, “God, why is this happening? When is it going to work out?” That’s going to limit you. Pray from a place of victory. Pray what God promised you.

You’re not inconveniencing God by asking big. God being good to you doesn’t stop Him from being good to someone else. No, God has unlimited favor, unlimited power. The Scripture says, “It is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” Maybe He’s just waiting for you to ask.
