I used to have 100 ideas and 0 finished projects. Not because I lacked discipline. Because I lacked structure. So I stopped chasing motivation and started building systems that actually work. (1/3)

My wife tested Le Cabinet before any paying user saw it. 11 bugs in week one. Screenshots at midnight. "The invoice layout makes no sense." I redesigned the billing flow based on her notes. Your first user needs to care enough to be honest.

Unpopular opinion: solo builders don't need a PM. You need a wife who uses your product every day and texts you bugs at 11pm. That's the entire product management process.

I want to be that guy : UPDATE models SET enabled = 1 WHERE name = 'Fable';

4 SaaS products. 0 came from market research. → Wife couldn't bill Swiss insurance → Le Cabinet → Retro actions dying in spreadsheets → Retro Action Tracker → 232 questions scored by hand → YoungScoring → $50/mo outreach tools that didn't work → Sendwern Every one built from the same kitchen table. Every one born from watching someone struggle.

Friday 6 PM. Kids in bed. 90 minutes before I'm too tired to think. Open Claude Code. Pick the smallest bug. Fix it. Deploy Le Cabinet. Close the laptop. Some weeks that's the whole update. One bug, one deploy. Building with kids means progress is measured in minutes.

Hmm… no clue why this happened.

Should we wait until fable is back or continue with the current model ?

7 emails. 57% open rate. 14% reply rate. 0 unsubscribes. First campaign for YoungScoring, sent through Sendwern, an outreach tool I built myself and for myself. A/B tested two subject lines. "A note on your YoungScoring sign-up" beat "Your YoungScoring trial" 3 to 1 on opens. The personal one won. 4 SaaS products now. Using one to grow the other. Opening Sendwern in beta soon. DM me if you want early access.

AI can write your ads, optimize your SEO, schedule your posts. But for niche clinical tools, none of that matters. What works: a few practitioners using it, trusting it, telling their peers. No funnel. No hack. Just showing up where your users already are.

Sunday morning. @haukejung and @iraftopo drop an idea in my replies: give users 1 free credit if they fill out a feedback form on YoungScoring. I close X. Open cursor. Start building.

Monday lunch. V2 is live. 5 questions now. What convinced you to try. How did you find us. What almost stopped you. What would make you come back. Plus NPS. One form. 1 free credit. 5 signals I was completely blind to before.

The whole arc: idea on X → V1 shipped → feedback from builders → V2 live. Under 24 hours. This is why building in public works. Your timeline is a free product team if you actually listen. @haukejung and @iraftopo this one's on you 🤝

Today my builder brain can rest a little bit! Spending a full day at EPFL (one of the best schools in the world) to help its IT teams working with Scrum and doing some retrospectives! Have a good day, builders!

I procrastinated dubbing my YoungScoring demo from French to English for months. Yesterday I tried ElevenLabs. 2 minutes later, it was done. And it matched my Swiss accent. It took me longer to procrastinate than to ship. What are you procrastinating that would take 10 minutes?

Saw this from @kzitouni1 and had to share my own numbers. Weeks 1 to 5: posted every day. Zero DMs. Maybe 2 replies total. 100 followers felt like a miracle. Weeks 5 to 7: 16 tweets/week, daily replies, DMs with other builders. 170 followers and actual conversations happening. Same effort. Completely different results. After 10 years building products solo I already knew this: nothing ships in isolation. Took me 5 weeks to remember it applies to X too.

This morning I shipped a feedback form on YoungScoring. NPS, 0-10 scale, 1 free credit for answering. People on X had opinions. Good ones. By lunch, V2 was live. V1 collected a rating. V2 collects product intelligence. Same day. Same dev. Different feature.

7 demo signups ghosted me. Sat in my CRM for months. Built a 4-step AI email sequence in Sendy. cost me $0.04. 60% replied. 2 converted to paying. 2 more booked demos. My email tool is now selling my healthcare tool. how many products until the whole thing runs itself?

2 free credits on YoungScoring. 90% of testers used both and vanished. This weekend @haukejung suggested: give 1 extra credit in exchange for feedback. By yesterday night it was live. NPS survey, 0-10 scale, 1 free assessment. X conversation to shipped feature. same day.
