I wrote an essay on what the CENTS Mint Years actually tell you – but most people won’t read an essay. ;-) So I turned the core of it into something you grasp in one second. Every CENT detail page now has a mint-year timeline. The trick: each era is sized by how many CENTS actually exist from it – not by calendar spacing. So 1910–1969 (60 years) is a thin sliver, because only 21.25% of the collection is that old. A marker drops the coin you’re looking at onto the bar. A 1938 lands hard left in the rare zone; a 1981 sits in the wide 1980s block. Rarity you can see, not just read.

1/4 THANK YOU MARK McCALL. When people talk about great coaches, they often focus on tactics, results, and trophies. Mark McCall certainly has all of those, but what made him truly exceptional was the way he led people @Saracens.

CENTS brought Ordinals into UCCA, one of the world’s leading contemporary art institutions. CENTS was selected by Christie’s for Beyond the Screen, a highly curated digital art auction that positioned digital art within the wider contemporary art landscape. CENTS is the only ordinal that has a chapter in TASCHEN’s On NFTs and it has been written about by Frieze, Monopol, e-flux, Bitcoin Magazine, Art in America … … and I’m not even talking about the community yet :-)

a subtle transformation, becoming an object in the network of all networked art CENTS is a continual redefinition of the object & its value from metal disc to image to melted mass in a block to cryptographic entity to free mint to marketized asset from centralized value ascription to decentralized value perception from eminence in Bitcoin art to eminence in digital art overall
In @raster_art's new live sales feed, you find sales across many different blockchains next to each other e.g. in the same hour: - RASTER #305, @GaloAndStuff sold for $225 on Ethereum - Dragons #260, @williamapan for $2.2K on Tezos - CENTS #7357, R. Chang, for $343 on Bitcoin

What happens when you post a real Monet and say it’s AI? The coolest art social experiment I’ve seen in a while. Thank you @SHL0MS

🌌 The Flow In the city, the flow of consciousness moves from one threshold to another, slipping between heterogeneous regimes of images. The blinding light of the present time constitutes the Inferno: a saturated, homogeneous time in which signs impose themselves without depth, in a state of continuous immediacy. 👇 Support the development of The Flow project.

We are proud to see CENTS in monopol ✊✊ Germany's leading contemporary art magazine A notable quality: unlike most coverage from the fine art world, this article represents a perspective on how the artwork's use of Bitcoin as a medium makes a statement about currency, value, materiality and the presence of these in the current historical moment. The article gives wonderful coverage of the exhibition Rutherford Chang: Hundreds and Thousands at UCCA Beijing, China's leading contemporary art institution. In it one can see the powerful and prismatic vision that Chang's works bring to the nature of artmaking, objecthood, and the tender absurdity of being a human being.

an artist rage quits. the community feels bad. someone buys her work as amends. she reposts it. in a market at multi-year lows, sentiment is the only remaining liquidity. new on Museum Ghost: museumghost.art/articles/sen…

dear CENTS collectors, just heard from Satflow that they "don't have the capability" to include a royalty functionality AT ALL. Enough is enough. If you care even a little bit about this project, about its presence in the world, its longevity, then move your old ME listings to @trygamma. It's an important time with ME shutting down, and it matters what you do. It matters what place becomes the next hub for trading. This was a free mint (1 sat for 1 Cent) and we've busted our assess for the last two mfing years to represent it and maintain it as it deserves, from the timeline, to the conferences, to the trait sites, to the community, to the museums. The 2.5% isn't a lot, but it does mean a lot. I hope you can put yourself in our shoes and realize that it truly matters, especially at this critical time. Please help to share this. long live CENTS 👊
