Southwark Council has issued a statement in the wake of the murder of a man in Bermondsey yesterday.
Text reads:
Cllr David Watson, Executive Member for Community Safety and Engagement, said: “I'm shocked and saddened to hear about the death of one of our residents and our thoughts are with his family, friends and loved ones.
“Police have launched a murder investigation and if you have information, or CCTV or doorbell camera footage that could help, please contact them."

Southwark's own Pride event takes place on Saturday 27 June and everyone is welcome. 🏳️🌈
The day kicks off at 12noon with a Pride March (starting from the London LGBTQ Centre, SE1 9JH) as marchers take to the streets, arriving at Mint Street Park for 1pm, where the celebration begins.
From 1pm to 6pm, the park will come alive with:
✨ Live music and drag performances from Kate Butch, Anna Toni, Son of a Tutu, Ada Campe, Samba Sisters Collective, Alpha Dancers and more...
