The vast difference in total cost of very different “rule breaking” for 2 Premier League clubs: 💰 — 🔵⚪️ EVERTON narrowly overspending on PSR due to interest payments on a new stadium at the end of the 2021/22 season: - Loss of league position prize money = £27m - Compensation to Burnley = £40m - Legal and administrative costs defending multiple cases, appeals and the Burnley tribunal = £17m (Not to mention damage to brand, damage to squad mentality, damage to prospect of potential new signings & attracting potential managers & new ownership, damage to sponsors and massive reduction in broadcasting and commercial income) TOTAL COST: £84m 💰 — ⚪️🔵 Chelsea blatantly cheating for 7 straight years with 74 for charges for funnelling £47.5m in 36 secret, off the books payments (via shady third parties and offshore entities) to unregistered agents & player reps from 2011-2018 to grease deals for stars like Hazard, Willian, Eto’o, Ramires, David Luiz, Schürrle and Matic in order to win: ▪️ 2012 UEFA Champions League ▪️ 2012 FA Cup ▪️ 2013 UEFA Europe League ▪️ 2015 Premier League ▪️ 2015 League Cup ▪️ 2017 Premier League ▪️ 2018 FA Cup TOTAL COST: £10.75m 💰 — CHELSEA escaped with a mere £10.75m fine for systematically concealing backhanded payments over seven years to rig transfers and gain real sporting advantage by winning 7 trophies during their 7 year period of dodgy deals. This grotesque disparity, punishing the likes of Everton who could have - and arguably should have - been relegated with the harsh points deductions issued, while slapping the wrist of the profligate powerful, exposes football’s rotten core.. rules enforced not by justice, but by current club size, influence and the Premier League’s embarrassingly obvious selective blindness. It’s even more laughable when you consider the three panel members who decided to issue this ground breaking never been done before compensation claim to Burnley from Everton.. were somehow the same three panel members who dished out the harshest points deduction in English top flight history to Everton for the very same reason!? How on earth is that allowed? English football, rotten to the core!

Man City have spent close to 500 million on players in just the last 18 months and are now banging in 120 million bids on Premier League midfielders. They are really taking the absolute piss out of the Premier League and these #115 charges. On the same day Everton are punished again for financial breaches of rules in 2021. You actually couldn't make it up🫢 Where is the ruling on City????

City bidding £120mil for a player Newcastle had to sell to comply with FFP while still having not had a single punishment for 115 charges. On the day Everton are punished yet again for one overpayment that only occurred because of the War in Ukraine. Football has become a farce

Hopefully come down on appeal but that is astonishing. Burnley have successfully argued that they were relegated because Everton breached spending rules by making stadium loan interest payments. Richard Masters opened the legal Pandora's Box in 2023 and must resign over it now.
EXCL: The Lawyer can reveal that Burnley has won its legal case against Everton over Everton's PSR breaches. The Toffees are to pay Burnley nearly £40m in damages and interest. Everton is expected to appeal. thelawyer.com/everton-to-pay…

So Chelsea secretly pay out £47.5m in brown envelopes to players & agents for 7 years helping them sign players like Hazard and gain sporting advantage while winning multiple trophies.. PUNISHMENT: £10m fine —— Everton meanwhile, slightly breach PSR, overspending by £19.5m over the allowable £105m limit in one period, largely linked to stadium investment & COVID impacts. PUNISHMENT: 10 point deduction followed by a another 2 point deduction both which directly affected their league position and prize money whilst risking being relegated from the Premier League.. AND now have to pay Burnley £40m for alleged lost earnings due to Everton’s “unfair advantage!?” —— One club hid tens of millions in shady payments for years and got a slap on the wrist. The other got hammered with points lost, risked being relegated, costing millions in prize money for league placement and now have to pay compensation to clubs as well!? The disparity in severity, sporting impact and deterrence makes the rules look ridiculous and unfair. “Big” clubs get no consequences for their actions, while Everton are the league’s whipping boy suffering multiple existential hits. Why are Everton treated so differently to every other club in the league!?

So, we now have to pay £40mil even though it was the Premier League who decided to wait until the season after. But Chelsea can win league titles and Champions Leagues, and get fined £10mil? When are Everton going to call this out? It's blatant corruption.

Lewis Hamilton says there should be a limit to how much wealth one person can have "One of the things that I struggle with every day is that there is such a disparity between the wealthy and the poor” "When you drive around LA there's still so many people living on the streets. You shouldn't be able to have billions" "I think there should be a limit to how much you can have because there's enough to go around for everyone”
Community note
In order to avoid tax, Lewis Hamilton lives in Monaco and Switzerland. He also used a corporate leasing structure to save over £3 million in taxes when buying his £16 million private jet in 2013. x.com/exRAF_Al/statu…

This is going to be the worst World Cup ever.
FIFA confirm single-player walkouts won’t happen at the World Cup. They will instead debut what is being called a “fan-centric pre-match ceremony” intended to showcase squads not just starting XIs. As revealed, the walkouts remain non-traditional. All players will stand in the centre circle for the line-up reads and national anthems. There will also be creative new visual elements, including the use of hand-held flags.🏆

That's the difference between us and them. They finish fifth and it's not good enough so they sack the manager, we finish 13th and the managers giving interviews about how Alex Ferguson bullied him into submission. We're a pathetic excuse of a football club. Stability FC eh lads?

Won the league, spent 450mil, finished in the Champions League places still gets sacked. We go from 13th to 13th after spending £130mil and we're happily dissatisfied. Moyes out.

🚨 BREAKING: Barcelona reach an agreement in principle with Newcastle to sign Anthony Gordon. £70m plus bonuses. Barcelona have pencilled in a medical for this week and anticipate the deal is formalised quickly. Bayern expected to lose out despite also agreeing terms with Gordon. Liverpool never made a move despite historical interest. 🤝 @alex_crook

Sunderland secured (7th) Europa league with 54 points. With 7 games to play Everton had 46 points. 3 wins from 7 games is all we needed. And they didn’t win a single one. Just can’t defend that.
