Yes it’s a Union Budget and we’re supposed to be speaking of the entire nation. But the nation is made up of states, and in the last decade, the bjp has changed the rules. Maharashtra, the largest contributor to the union govt’s treasury, is not even an afterthought. Be it GDP, GST, Income Tax, we’re the largest contributors.. and proportionally most ignored! • About the Mumbai- Pune High Speed Railway, does it mean bullet train? Vande Bharat? An increase in speed for the current ones? What’s the timeline? Fully funded by GoI or does it have GoM contribution? • ⁠To speak about urbanisation with approximate 5000 crores after wrapping up a failed Smart City program (over a decade), with no clarity, is a big joke! It will be about identifying City Economic Regions in tier 2 and 3 cities… beyond which, everything is vague! • There is no real backing to climate action for a country that is so vulnerable to climate change related trouble- be it for our rural, or urban areas… for economy- industry and agriculture alike. The Government is clueless and vision-less on Climate Action. • ⁠The finance minister seems to have either forgotten or successfully eradicated the 4 castes she had identified in 2024- Women, Farmers, Youth and Poor/ needy. • ⁠There’s nothing concrete to create meaningful employment. Yes, data centers are good but they dont create jobs. We need concrete steps for protecting and increasing jobs. • ⁠The FM has conveniently ignored to instil any confidence in citizens over the economic instability over geopolitics and the falling rupee that her party once caused national chaos over. If this was to be a budget for all of India truly, one of the demands that I’ve constantly made could have still been accepted- an International Financial Services Centre for Mumbai… and may be also for Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi… Growth would be truly national, and natural, unlike the failed GIFT. But then, thinking beyond elections would be truly a gift for India! #UnionBudget2026

Last night while returning to Pune from Marathwada, the roads were terrible and my girlfriend started complaining about roads. Suddenly this man appeared in front of our car in the dark. He didn't move until we praised the road infrastructure. 💀🤯

Politicians think Mumbaikars have a short memory. As BMC elections near, Shinde’s Shiv Sena and BJP shout about “25 years of corruption” — but Shinde was part of that same Shiv Sena till 2022, and BJP ruled alongside them for 20 of those years. So who are they fooling now? Shinde calls himself Balasaheb’s follower, yet blames the same BMC that Balasaheb once led. If Mumbai was looted for 25 years, then who was running the show? Them or ghosts? Aren't majority of Shivsena corporators now with Shinde? Vote for whoever you want — that’s your right. But don’t let them believe they can fool you so easily. Remember, their past is also written in BMC’s history.
