What a classical slap! Chioma, but why? Those words still echo in my ears 2 weeks after the event. I walked into a restaurant/bar in one of the suburbs in the mainland. The place was serene, cosy , and quite sweetly calm, with soft jazz music playing at a reasonable volume. I sat down at a table, and the waiter took my order and delivered accordingly. Across some 6 feet sat a young dark skinned lady with brown eyes and dazzling smiling that is captivating. As I was taking my meal and drink, I did not realise she was just glancing at me from the rim of her wine glass, trying to catch my attention. I suddenly heard the clatter of cutlery and looked to know where it's coming from, and our gaze got fixated. The cutlery clumsily fell from her fingers to the plate and caused the sound. She had my attention. A lady walked and asked to sit on the vacant seat, but she motioned it was occupied. So, I became more curious about who it was reserved for? And why does it seem she needs me to sit there. As she motioned to me to please come over and sit, a grand entrance was made. Everyone in the restaurant turned to see the entourage coming in. A young man about 1.93m tall, athletic build, and nicely trimmed beards walked in. He gracefully walked towards the lady who had motioned me to come over to her table. My heart beat increased as I watched in awe. He approached her, knelt on one knee, brought out a 24-carat gold ring from his pocket, and said: Chioma, will you marry me? Chioma stood up and looked at him with utter surprise. The entire restaurant paused phones, recording videos for gossiping later. Chioma raised her right hands up and, with one sweet ferocity, landed a devastating military grade slap on the guys face. He collapsed to the ground, and his friends rushed to help him up the ring, spiralling off his hand. A young lady sitting close to her table just shouted "Chioma but why?" What could have made Chioma act this way? Is Dantata going to be OK? Watch out for part 2....

This is how we can build a Nigeria for us all to enjoy. The Nigerian project.
Building for Nigeria as a Nigerian is a specific kind of advantage. Not because Nigerians are special. Because understanding your user is always an advantage. I know what it's like to have a transaction fail and spend an hour on the phone with support. I know what it's like to want to do something nice for someone and realize the tools aren't built for that. I understand this user because I am this user. That's not a credential. It's a competitive edge.

If you do not mind about health positions or age . will this be a bother?
Quick question for the men out there: Is visible hair loss on a woman a turn-on or a big turn-off?

Ajegunle People can you come and say why it is like this? Do you have a Local Government chairman at all?
𝐈𝐧 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐛𝐚𝐝 𝐠𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞. The rain had started again in 𝐀𝐉𝐄𝐆𝐔𝐍𝐋𝐄, and the potholes on Community Road had become rivers. Every morning, Musa left home before sunrise to push his wheelbarrow in the market. By noon, he had already argued with three customers, paid “unofficial fees” to boys controlling the street, thereby parting ways with his profits. Yet every election season, politicians came. “Change is here!” they shouted from loudspeakers. “This time, we will fix the roads, create jobs, reduce hardship!” The crowd clapped not because they fully believed, but because hope in Nigeria had become a habit nobody could afford to lose. Mama Sunday, who sold tomatoes by the roadside, laughed one afternoon and said, “Government no dey hungry, na poor man dey hungry. Dem go promise heaven but give us hell.” Still, people voted. Months turned into years, the roads remained broken, hospitals had no drugs, schools had leaking roofs, young graduates sat under kiosks discussing dreams. Prices rose faster than salaries, and salaries moved slower than traffic in Lagos. Then one evening, after another power outage, the community gathered under darkness. No politicians. No cameras. Just tired people. An old man stood up and said, “The problem no be say Nigerians no dey patient. We too patient, good governance no be favor, na wetin government owe the people.” Silence followed. For the first time, the crowd stopped waiting for heroes in agbada, Jagaban fila caps and sirens. They began asking questions, attending local meetings, demanding accountability, and refusing to celebrate leaders for doing the bare minimum. This is because the masses had finally learned something dangerous 👇 A government fears people who stop suffering quietly. Some hard realities of life we have to live with in a country with some much natural resources. Even basic food for the common person in disadvantage positions i not available while 7 cows are killed for a single governor and his family to eat each day. Who is fooling who?
200 level almost ended me. Juggling 7 courses, impossible group projects, 18 unit load, family pressure for first class, side gigs failing, and ₦1.2M debt piling up from school fees and feeding. I was having daily panic attacks, surviving on one meal a day, feeling completely worthless 😭

You must have a very loving enemy to get this meal. You prepared a table before me in the presence of my enemy. Is that what you are thinking?
If your enemy invited you as a guest and served you this meal, what would your reaction be?

Women, is this true or not?
💭 A CONVERSATION THAT GOT ME THINKING ABOUT RELATIONSHIP AND MARRIAGES THAT WE FAIL TO PAY ATTENTION TO💔 . Interviewer: What are the signs that a man is in love with a manipulative partner? Speaker: Hmm. Personally, I think the most dangerous manipulative woman is not the one that control you with force. Interviewer: Okay. Speaker: Is the one that controls you without you realizing it. Interviewer: Wow.
